how to download, install & use your presets

I am a professional photographer, mama of a beautiful and sassy toddler, and 1/2 of
M Suarez Photography, or MSP for short.

My husband and I started our photography business together back in 2013 and we’ve been growing, improving and following our dreams since then.

Though the years we noticed one thing - we couldn’t be there daily to capture and document every sweet moment for our clients, there just wasn’t enough time!

What we could do for mamas, grandmas, dads and well everyone who’s photo obsessed like us... without being physically present... was teach and provide a system so that no matter where you were - at a friend’s birthday, on a trip to Greece...or just on the couch cuddling.- you could have our expertise in your pocket! That’s where our Presets were born!

INSTALL GUIDE

Let’s begin at your setting to ensure you have IOS version 13 or higher. If you have 12.9 or lower, email us at info@msuarezphotography.com for instructions.

To check, go to Settings, then select General, then About. It should say 13 or higher, but no worries if it doesn’t, reach out to us and we can help you install them.

Next, you'll need to download the Lightroom App. Go to the App Store, look for the Lightroom App (see icon to the left) Once downloaded, create an account (it’s free, yay!) and log in...or if you already have the app, sign in.

downloading your presets

1.If you have already downloaded your presets zip file (which contains all 6 presets) on the payment confirmation page or on the bottom of the receipt email, you will already have the presets in your iPhone's "Downloads" folder.

If you have not downloaded the presets onto your iPhone yet, you can also do it by

2.Please locate the preset files on your iPhone's "Downloads" folder.
*** If you cannot find the "Downloads" folder, you can slide down the home screen with your thumb and your most recent apps will appear. There is also a search box at the bottom with a keyboard. Type "Downloads" and look for the folder.

3.In the folder should be your zip file. If you don't see it, look at the bottom left for a word that says "Recent" and the presets zip file should come up to the top. You can clip on the zip folder to open the folder into individual files, that is what we will need. ***

USING YOUR PRESETS

1. Import your own photos onto Lightroom by selecting the import button or updating your settings to auto import all images from your camera roll as you take them.

2. To apply a preset, take a look towards the bottom of the screen under the image to see the the Presets option.

3.Choose “User Presets” and you’ll find the options for all of the presets you’ve downloaded and installed. If you don't have any other presets, you'll only see the MSP ones.

***If you don’t see “User Presets” that means LR is showing you their default presets. Tap the title (probably “Color”) and that allows you to choose another folder “User Presets” which is where you MSP Presets are located.****

4.Choose the preset you love most and tap the check mark at the top. Note: There are mini previews beside the names of the presets. Keep in mind there are different presets for different lighting scenarios so they won’t do the same effect on every image.

5. Our presets are designed to work with one click MOST of the time, but depending on a few factors like light and location, you may need to tweak a little bit using a the adjustments. If that’s the case, start by adjusting under the “Light” tab which controls brightness or darkness and the “Color” tab which controls warmth or coolness.

6. Click the export arrow at the top right to export your edited image onto your camera roll. "Save copy to device"
